Being the biggest museum in South East Asia, the Bangkok National Museum is an important cultural heritage. It features large collections of traditional asian art and exhibits from Thai history and the pre-Thai era.
Furthermore, there are extensive collctions of Khmer Cambodian arts, Vietnamese Cham, tradiitonal Chinese arts aswell as Buddhist sculptures and artifacts dislayed in this museum.
The Bangkok National Museum consists of three main exhibition halls and is situated at Sanam Luang, between Thammasat University and the National Theater.
How to get there: Boat: Take a boat from Sathorn to Tha Tien Pier (near Grand Palace) and walk 10 minutes to the museum. BTS: nearest station: National Stadium. From there you need to take a taxi to "Sanam Luang"
